Material Donation Policy

     The Billerica Public Library welcomes donations for certain materials. Donations may be dropped off anytime at the circulation desk, and all donations should be in very good to excellent condition. Please keep the following guidelines in mind when donating materials to the library.

Thank you     

     We welcome:

1. Current hardcover fiction
2. Works of classic literature
3. Works by popular authors
4. Popular paperbacks with covers intact
5. Recent non-fiction: Topics such as art, music, gardening, cooking, how-to, and computers, along with biographies, are always popular.
6. Children's books

     When boxing or bagging donations, please keep the bundles light enough to be carried easily.

     Please find alternative homes for:

1. Magazines
2. Reader's Digest Condensed Books
3. Old and outdated text and technology books
4. Library discards
5. Book sets (unless current, complete, and in good shape)
6. Mildew-stained, musty, or damaged attic/basement relics
7. Phonograph records
