Chocolate Dessert Contest!

If you have a fabulous Chocolate Dessert that you make, you might be able to win some money!! The Billerica Public Library is holding it's first ever dessert contest on Feb. 11th. Please call 978-671-0949, ext. 4 to sign up to make your special dessert. Space is limited to 25.

We also need 25 judges and to sign up for this task, call the aforementioned number. First prize is $75, 2nd prize is $50 and 3rd prize is $25. The rules for the contest are posted in the lobby of the library. Any questions should be directed to Liz Bentz at 978-671-0949, ext. 4. So, for all you chocoholics...this is for you!!!

CONTEST RULES

  • The desserts must be made from scratch.
  • All desserts must have chocolate: NO chocolate substitute, i.e., carob.
  • The desserts must NOT need refrigeration nor be heated.
  • You don't have to be present to win.
  • All containers must be labeled with name & phone number in order to be returned.
  • Each dessert must have a written recipe.
  • The Library will provide plates, spoons & forks.
  • Be sure to make enough dessert for 25 judges to taste, plus extra for public tasting.
  • Dessert set up for judging is at 5:30 PM, February 11th in the Meeting Room.
