Movie Month - Live the Legend Again!

Come see the original Star Wars Trilogy!

You must register for each movie separately.  Bring a pillow, blanket or something comfy.  We provide the snacks, you provide the drink.  This is a prequel to our Young Adult Summer Reading Program.

 

July 5, 6:30pm

Candy Bar Bingo

Help kick off our Summer Reading Program, play bingo with us! Bring in a regular sized candy bar to receive a bingo card. Limit:1-3 chocolate bars per person. You could win a minimum of 10 chocolate bars!!! 5th grade and up only. Registration required starting June 5th

Archimedes Legacy

Move over R2D2 and C3PO, Paul Woodly is here. Paul Woodly is a scientist who will tell you everything you need to know about robots. What makes them go? How hard is it to make one? What's the best way for you to get started on your own robot? He'll even bring in a couple that he built. At the end of the program, he will choose volunteers to help operate these machines. Registration required starting June 12.   5th and up. and up only

 

July 19, 6:30 pm

Extreme Science

May the force be with you as you experience energy, forces and simple machines. Can you life 500 pounds? Can you break a board with a finger? Watch a water balloon travel the skies, ride a hoverboard and learn how to multiply your strength. Lots of fun at this science workshop. Online registration required starting June 12, 2006. 5th - 12th grade only please

 Chewbacca's Curious Creatures: Fun With Baby Animals

3 Sessions starting at 1:30, 2:00, and 2:30

Aawww... cuddle and snuggle some of the cutest baby animals you have every seen. In 45 minutes you may be able to pet kittens, puppies, chicks, ducks, pigs, and a goat. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE!!! Please note there are 2 sessions.

Online registration required starting June 12. 5th grade and up.

Jabba's Junk Food Junkie Party

How much candy can you eat? Come to an ALL YOU CAN EAT CANDY BUFFET! While you eat, we raffle off the prizes donated by our area businesses. Get a few extra raffle tickets if you come dressed as a character from the Star Wars movies. Costume is optional. YOU MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE YOUNG ADULT SUMMER READING PROGRAM TO ATTEND THIS!  Online Registration for this program start s July 10.  Registration for reading program does not automatically register you for this program. BE  THERE - IF THE FORCE IS WITH YOU!  For grades 5 and up ONLY!!!!
